Profile

I work as a lecturer and researcher at KU Leuven (Faculty of Architecture, Campus Sint-Lucas), Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences Rotterdam (Willem de Kooning Academy), and Fontys (Master of Architecture). Next to my research and teaching, I work as a designer engineer of non-conventional architectural structures. In my research and teaching, I am interested in the design of learning tools and strategies, with a focus on practice-oriented knowledge management, conceptual and blended learning, and multidisciplinary practices. In my PhD thesis, various active learning methods to support concept learning in construction education are designed and tested. In my engineering work, I support artists, designers, and architects in the translation of complex concepts and ideas into realization.
